“Not so promising. There is no future with a 200-euro salary and with a 150-euro pension, there’s no life here, especially for you the young people”, says a citizen of Kavadarci in regards to CIVIL’s question – What kind of future awaits the country in regards to the environment, green or black.
“Kavadarci is the most beautiful city, with the best mayor. Everything is good in the city, it’s clean. If I ever go abroad, I would come back here again”, says another man from Kavadarci.
“A black future awaits the country, because as things are going, I don’t think it will become green. Greater education is needed in regards to the environment. People will be making rakija (brandy) now in Kavadarci, and they burn whatever they find, old blankets, old furniture…instead of quality firewood”, says a person from Kavadarci.
Another citizen anticipates a black future for the country, because all young people have left the country. In terms of the environment in Kavadarci, he said that the city is clean, even though the Feni plant is here.
