The team of CIVIL Media asked the people of Veles what kind of Macedonia they want. In addition to them wanting a peaceful and prosperous Macedonia, the citizens saw the future of Macedonia also through the prism of changing the name of the country.
Part of the surveyed citizens think that changing the name doesn’t change anything, part think that the name of the country should not be changed, but agree that the decision will be made by the politicians.
“As it used to be, beautiful Macedonia…It should be Macedonia, not Northern Macedonia, but it’s up to the politicians”, stated one of the citizens, dissatisfied with the changing of the name.
“The name doesn’t matter, as long as it is peaceful and there is no hatred”, said one of the interlocutors.
“Northern Macedonia, prosperous, European, for everyone to be able to make ends meet”, replied a citizen for CIVIL Media.
“It’s useless with such politicians. One are thieves, the other ate traitors”, replied the interlocutor.
