CIVIL is organizing an online event titled “Circular Economy: Potentials and Challenges for the Future Generations” on May 26, 2022, starting at 12.00 pm. The event will be addressed by DOM party leader Maja Moracanin, representative of the expert community, Ivana Lozanovska, Ph.D and President of CIVIL, Xhabir Deralla.
What is circular economy, how applicable is it in national and local economies, especially when it comes to poor countries, how feasible is it in the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine and other economic, military, political and other conditions – are just some of the questions related to this topic, say the organizers of the event that is part of the Western Balkans Circular Economy Week, which is held from May 23 to May 27 throughout the Western Balkans region.
The Western Balkans Circular Economy Week is the first regional initiative that brings together different actors throughout the Western Balkans. The focus of this initiative is on circular economy and sustainable development and is organized by members of the LogEx Community from all over the region, at the initiative of Balkan Forum from Kosovo.
The LogEx Community was established in 2021. It is a partnership between universities and academics, civil society organizations and business actors from the Western Balkan region and the diaspora from the region. As a diverse community, LogEx works on bridging the gap between higher education and the employment market in the Western Balkan region. LogEx facilitates joint learning and cooperation and works on building human capital, strengthening circular economy, reducing unemployment and migration.
