CIVIL has opened an Application for registration of election observers for election day on its website #FreeElections.
The website that CIVIL launched in 2013 for citizens to register election irregularities during the election process, now also contains a very simple online Application.
On the website #FreeElections there is also the section on Resources, from which readers can download publications dedicated to CIVIL’s election observation.
In addition to the online Application, there is also the opportunity for candidates to register by email at [email protected] or on the Facebook page on #FreeElections, or they can come in person to CIVIL’s office. The conditions for conducting the work duties of the accredited observers of CIVIL are as follows: CIVIL’s observers do not have party or other election observation engagement and will conduct the election monitoring for CIVIL only. CIVIL’s observers will strictly adhere to the principles of impartiality and neutrality, and will follow the instructions and orders from the organization and will implement the election monitoring in accordance with the Electoral Code and Code for election observation. The reports shall be accurate and reliable, and supported by facts.
CIVIL’s observers are mobile and will be made available, according to the plan on election monitoring, at locations that will be announced to them right before election day. CIVIL’s observers shall respect the confidentiality of the data and information obtained during the work in CIVIL, for which they are responsible before the relevant laws for the keeping of official secrets.
