The small SDSM coalition partners, one by one, are “becoming independent”, but are announcing continuation of the cooperation and support for the “We Can” coalition, which has the parliamentary majority. In the future, BESA, LDP and the Democratic Union to act independently in Parliament, and such announcements are also coming from the Movement for Renewal of Macedonia.
As President of Democratic Renewal of Macedonia Maja Moracinin stated for “Sloboden Pecat”, part of the strategic planning of the party is going to the local elections independently.
“Even in the past mandate, then with president of the party Liljana Popovska, we were independent MPs, but as part of the Coalition led by SDSM. Together with Miroslav Bogdanovski we want to continue that same practice now. And that is how we have agreed with SDSM. However, due to the conditions related to the coronavirus pandemic, in the direction of improving the efficiency of the work of the Coalition, we are leaving this for some other time.
